What happens if you crash on your driving lessons?

Question 1
What happens if you crash on your driving lessons?...  Would you have to pay a fine to the company or insurance firm or something? and would they let you practice with them again lol
p.s I haven't crashed but wondering

1)   If you crash during your driving lesson (not the exam!) then it is completely your instructor's fault. You would not be responsible for that in any way. The instructor by the law is the responsible for controlling the car in dangerous situations etc, that is why he has additional pedals.



However if you crash during your driving practical exam, it would be your fault. - D

2)   from what i understand you pay the instructor to teach you, in that payment insurance is covered. so if you did have an accident you wouldn't have to pay anything, but it's always best to ask your instructor before hand - Asamninj

3)   It would seem that the instructor prior to going on the drivers test would need to see your insurance card showing the vehicle you will be driving during the test has insurance coverage. It would also seem that if you were involved in a crash during the drivers test the insurance would work the same way as it would if you were out on the road driving without an instructor and not taking a drivers test. If the accident is found to be your fault your insurance will fix the other drivers car damage and most likely will repair your damage as well. If the accident is found to be the fault of the other driver then their insurance would repair your car and theirs to. If you are taking your drivers test and crash into something like a tree or whatever your insurance company will be the one to get any repairs fixed. Your insurance will most certainly go upward in cost as well and it is probably a good bet you might flunk the drivers test! - fortyniner

Question 3
driving without proof of registration?!?...  Im a new driver, ive only been driving for about 2 months and i just got my first car but i lost the registration papers on it and can't get a replacement until the tags are up so is it safe to drive it without proof of registration?

well im a good driver and all but im just worried because im new that i might just get stopped cause they have nothing better to do
well the car is registered to my dad and we have the title and all that just not the registration papers

1)   Well as long as you have your license, it might be okay. But if you were a good driver then you wouldn't have to worry huh? lol



EDIT: Dude, I have never been pulled over once. And for the first few months of driving, I didn't even have my license with me, I just had my provision license (a little paper) lol. trust me, you'll be ok. - CuppycakePirate

3)   If your father goes to the DMV they will issue another copy of the registration. You do not have to wait for renewal. - Bill

Does auto insurance allow a claim to be opened a couple months after actual incident?...  My roomate/ a best friend was parked in a parking spot rite next to my car. As he was leaving the parking spot the next day he cut the coorner to sharp and side wiped my front bumper and fender stripping the paint. He told me after he was back that he would give me his first paycheck (from the job he just started). So I waited for that day and of course it never came. He eventually moved to his fathers house where it would be easier for him to get back and forth to work. I ask him every now and then about when hell take care of it but he tends to shrug off or ignore the convo. Now that I see his true colors im going to take it up in my own hands and just go threw insurance. So my question... Is it poassable for me to open a claim about 2 or more months after the incident? I am also from New Jersey if that changes anything about laws.

2)   well at this point he left you little choice, the best thing you can do is tell the insurance company the truth that your roommate promised to pay with his paycheck, you gave him a chance and he blew it. give your insurance company his name and license and any information about him you can, and they will take it from there, some people have to learn the hard way, Now your insurance will go after him for the damage to your car. best of luck - dick car guy
