failed for the second time on driving test?

Question 1
failed for the second time on driving test?...  is it bad that i have failed my driving test for the second time? i felt so bad that i lied to my parents saying i passed. they were already a bit disappointed when i failed my first driving test especially since two of my cousins have passed on their first try(they love to compare me with my cousins and is kind of like a family feud between my parents and the aunt and uncle). so i just lied to them and hopefully when i take my third driving test, i will pass.

so is this really bad, the failing and the lying? is not really a bad lie b/c i just wanted them to be happy that i passed. and afterall, it wont hurt anyone with the lie, im not even gonna actually drive (learning to drive was for the id)

how do you guys take the driving test w/o being really nervous? according to my driving instructor, im actually driving really well but he said is my nervousness that caused me to fail. he even told me that i dont really have to take any lessons before my third try on the test, maybe like take one or two lessons right before the test. so how can i stop myself from being so nervous?

i really need help. also, does passing the first try with the test mean you are really good? are they really better than those who took a few tries before passing (i mean as in the person itself not the skills)?

1)   So what? just take it again, it's not rocket science ; ) - donaskme

2)   When I took mine there was a lady there, she said it was her 6th time..

She said she was upset the first few times but she's laughing about it now..

Look..it can be down to luck..

every instructor have slight variations..

they are people not machines..

It can down to the person examining you...

But notice I said CAN... its probably because you did too many little things wrong..

Don't feel bad about it, if anything they are disappointed for you.. not because of you..

Its not the end of the world if you fail next time. don't make yourself think that its the only chance you will get.. it don't matter how many times you try, sooner or later it will happen for you.

If you pass the 10th time... you are gonna be as good as the person who passed it the 1st time(in the end you will pass the test proving that you are as good as anyone who as passed it). no harm to get extra experience anyway

. It probably down to mentality in an exam situation.. some people aren't confident..

better to fail it twice then to pass it 1st and be cocky end up thinking your great and be a danger on the road - Kevin Caulfield

Question 2
Who is liable when renting a U-Haul, the credit card or license holder?...  My neighbor's friend needs a U-Haul driven some 500 miles for him and is willing to pay me 400 to drive it. I went with him to the place and they need a driver's license and a credit card. He is, uh, from south of the border and does not have a license but his wife has a credit card. I do not know him from Adam. He is asking me to use my license, but, not being stupid, I told him I have to see. Doesn't sound smart, I don't know if I trust the guy. My question is, what type of liability am I looking at being the one presenting the driver's license (if I did)? He would be giving the credit card so who would be responsible should something happen. Mind you, I don't know what all is in the cargo too, you know, I'm taking his word on it, I don't go through people's things. I just don't want to risk my a** for 400 bucks, but I could really use the money.

4)   You could risk more than your a** by going through with this. If you own a home, auto, or anything in your name or plan to ever, or have a job and dont want it taken it away or wages garnished than dont do it. The driver is liable from an insurance stand point but a legal courts point of view could differ depending if you are sued both could get in trouble. - Dezeray Paris

Question 5
my mom won't let me take my road test till i get a job?...  she wont even let me take the road test. i understand if she makes me get a job when i actually get a car but for my road test? i dont even have time i have dance for 4.5 hours on monday till from 3-730 tuesdays is 3-6 weds is dance till 5 then SAT classes 6-9 and thursdays is 3-5 also. fridays, i have games for school dance. saturdays i have dance practices every so often right in the middle of the day for 3 hours. and sundays are my only days off. i mean, it is nice to have at least one day to just relax and actually hang out with friends. so she said to get a job on my one day off meanwhile i leave every couple of months for dance comps over the weekend? who wants to hire a person who always has to take off and can only work one day a week? how can i change my moms mind on making me get a job just for a road test or what can i do to earn money without having to get a legit job. oh and no babysitting my mom said its not steady enough. p.s. i plan on getting a job over the summer but between the months of march and june i wont be working and that's all. and i want to take my road test right when i can because i paid for extra lessons right before the test already (before my mom told me i need a job)
no ebay. cost money to list and my mom said if she bought it i cant sell it. and everything i bought myself i still use.
she wont let me give up dancing so i would if i could.

1)   Tell your mother insurance rates go by how long you have had your license.

Sell stuff on Ebay. - S K

2)   If you take the road test and get a license then you should buy insurance. If you do not buy insurance and have a license believe me the rate you get when you finally decide to get insurance will be sky high. Since insurance costs $ I would side with your mom. No job = no license. Welcome to the adult world, you have to prioritize your wants. You may have to give up dancing so much if you want to drive. Imagine that. - richard t
